An overview

Hopkins Roofing, Inc. is currently accepting resumes to expand our Sales Team. This is an outside/inside, full-time sales position. The purpose is to maintain and grow existing customers as well as sell new business. This position’s effectiveness is measured by their ability to grow their territory organically. Pays depending on experience. Salary Base Plus Commission.

A Commercial Roofing Sales Consultant is responsible for maintaining a high-level, strategic relationship with their sales base, focused on the customer’s critical agenda issues, as well as the tactical day to day.

The goal is to become a trusted advisor, through consultation, to existing and new customers. Our goal is to provide the highest level of quality service to our clients and high caliber Sales Consultants are an essential part of this initiative.

Qualifications
  • ​High School Diploma
  • Driver’s License​
  • Commercial Roofing Background
  • Bachelor’s Degree and sales experience are preferred

A Typical Work Week
  • Prospect for new customers to achieve sales goals and help grow the territory
  • Review sales reports to determine trends and take appropriate action
  • Maintain a pipeline of prospects with a minimum purchasing volume of
  • Submit a Weekly Itinerary with call objectives and Weekly Call Log with the results and next steps
  • Review pipeline of top prospects as scheduled with the Sales Manager
  • Visit new construction job sites to determine if they are a prospect for Hopkins Roofing
  • Manage budget and travel expenses in accordance to company policy
  • Collect competitor information and report trends in the market to the Sales Manager
  • Attend and conduct Product Knowledge and Sales Training classes
Required Skills
  • Strong desire to meet or exceed sales goals
  • Time management skills – focus on high payoff sales activities
  • Ability to coordinate all departments as needed to service the customer and increase profitability
  • Computer skills – specifically, Excel, Word, and Microsoft Outlook
  • CRM input in accordance to the CRM Process Guidelines as necessary
  • Ability to read blueprints and generate accurate take offs
  • Competitive spirit
  • Ability to handle difficult conversations and stressful situations such as heavy workload, customer rejection, pressure to attain sales goals, etc.
  • An ability to think strategically regarding services, products, and markets
