Hello All,

I know this has been a really challenging season at Hopkins for everyone. I’m so sorry you have had to live through the past several months. Many of our friends are gone and in a lot of ways the entire company has been shaken in ways we have not experienced before. I’m sorry for my inconsistency in leadership through all of this as I too have been struggling to know what to say or how to proceed. Please know that however you feel at this point is ok. All I ask is that you be honest about how you feel, talk to someone you trust about it and give me/us a chance to help us all move forward. I know that I made many mistakes through this process and I’m committed to learning from those mistakes and I will try to be better going forward.

Will you all join me in doing that? In my life, I’ve learned that when adversity hits, I have to redouble my efforts to examine my own heart and actions and commit again to being the best version of myself I can be and take responsibility for my mistakes and try again. We will not give up on this company or each other, there are too many good things that I want to do yet and I’m hoping you will join me in doing them. Thank you for being strong, for being kind and for having each other’s backs. I’m grateful to be part of a company like this and work with people like you.

I’m sure you all have many questions and are concerned about what’s next. I understand that and want to do all I can to help answer your questions and give you confidence for our future. We have some exciting updates to give you and will have much more information to share about where we go from here. I want to tell you all about it now, but I think it’s important that we are all together and we all hear the same thing at the same time. Just know that we have a bright future and I hope to show you all the reasons why on October 7th.
