Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year institution preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management preferred
- Demonstrated effective supervisory skills
- Ability to motivate and direct the actions of others
- Experience in project costing and planning
- Outstanding communication skills
- Proven ability to work under minimal direct supervision
- Dependable and on time
- Uses good judgment and works with integrity
- OSHA 10 certification (training and certification will be provided)
A Typical Work Week
- Maintain project timelines and budget set with Operations Manager
- Estimate the time to complete each roofing project and coordinate with teams from varying trades
- Review architect’s roofing design to plan the sequence of work
- Work with Operations Manager to determine materials and workforce required for each roofing project
- Determine materials required for each project and devise delivery schedules
- Coordinate with Purchasing on material orders and inventory for upcoming and existing projects
- Identify any practical problems in achieving the planned result and discuss any necessary changes with the Hopkins team, architect, and client
- Supervise teams and inspect the quality of work to ensure standards are met
- Prepare and deliver reports detailing the progress of all roofing work
- Attend weekly production meetings and communicate project updates with the Hopkins team
- May perform other duties as assigned
